Did the Debate Impact how Americans will Vote in November?

Now that the first debate is behind us everyone wants to know who won. Well that depends on which site you go to. CNN, often called the Clinton News Network, has polls showing Hillary won. Drudge Report, a pro-Republican news site, has a poll showing Donald Trump won in a landslide.

This debate wasn’t really for the people who have already decided their vote. Conservatives who support Trump didn’t see anything during the debate that turned them off and would cause them to switch their vote. It’s the same with die-hard Hillary fans.

Instead this debate was for the people who have yet to decide who they are going to vote for. There are two main groups who have yet to make up their mind: millennials and independents.

For these two groups the debate had a clear winner. Donald J. Trump. Issues of the economy, international trade and race relations are the most important topics to these voters and that’s exactly where Trump shined.

You can see journalists from both sides—democrat and conservative—go back and forth over the debate, but in the end they all agree Trump won these voters over.
