Hillary’s Handlers Reached out to NFL Concerning her ‘Cracked Head’

The NFL is no stranger to concussions, having dealt with the issue on and off since the league’s inception. While much effort has been focused on helping newer players avoid debilitating head and neck injuries while on the playing field, older players who have been victims of cerebral damage have suffered and even died.

It’s significant that Hillary Clinton’s campaign reached out to a Commissioner of the NFL regarding this issue because it signals how serious Clinton’s injuries she sustained in her 2012 fall really were. Bill Clinton memorably stated in May that Hillary’s recovery time after her concussion and subsequent thrombosis was six months — much longer than had previously been described in the press.

Nationally prominent physicians such as Dr. Drew Pinsky have stated they believe that Hillary’s condition is actually worse than the media has been reporting. In this light, an instance of a communication with the NFL appears much more significant than it might have otherwise.
